What am I doing?

Hi! My name is Maya Brandt, and I’m a rising senior at Trinity School of Durham and Chapel Hill. This summer, I’m building a B-Spec race car from a Honda Fit to race in the SCCA with a mission far bigger than the track. Through my nonprofit, FitToMove Inc., I’m raising awareness for Parkinson’s Disease, specifically focusing on the mobility challenges faced by those living with it. By combining my passion for automotive engineering and motorsports, with a cause close to my heart, I hope to make a meaningful impact. I’ll be stripping out unnecessary parts, upgrading the suspension, designing a custom livery, and sharing every step of the process through my blog. This project is made possible through the generosity of donors and sponsors, with all proceeds going directly to charity. So buckle up, because it’s going to be a wild ride!
